DLS – digital light synthesis

Procedure description

Two-stage, planar hardening of photoreactive, programmable, liquid two-component photopolymers using a UV image projector with subsequent heat treatment.

Adjustable material properties (including strength, hardness, temperature range) thanks to programmable 2-component resin mixture.

Continuous construction process using sequence of images and simultaneous construction platform movement.

Construction space: 190 x 115 x 325 mm, larger construction space possible on request.

  • Monolithic part structure -> no layers -> no anisotropy
  • Wide range of photopolymers with different properties available
  • Surface structures (textures) can be produced directly
  • Construction speed up to 100x faster than for SLA process
  • High production tolerance +/-0.1% (absolute +/-0.1 mm)
  • IMDS-listed materials

Disadvantages

  • Support structures required for production reasons
